Polly Eltes began her working life in front of the camera, modelling for Italian Vogue and for acclaimed photographers including Norman Parkinson and David Bailey. During her catwalk years she took her own camera behind the scenes and these early pictures sidestep the clothes to observe the hyperbole backstage. It was always people and their context that she distilled in her pictures and it still is. Working now for interiors and lifestyle magazines as well as commercial clients, she is a warmly instinctive observer, editing an interior view, or a still life, so that the image has immediacy and significance. Her pictures have a vivid inner life, capturing the essence of a room and a momentPolly Eltes works out of west London often travelling in the UK and internationally
Her work has appeared in publications including You magazine, the Telegraph, the Guardian, Homes and Gardens, Elle Deco, Livingetc, Conde Naste Gourmet, the English Home, Country Living and Coast magazines and worldwide in Cote Maison, American House Beautiful, Bo Bedre and Modern Country.
